Our Philosophy
Unlocking Dyslexia offers a variety of services to support both children and parents of primary and secondary age in Bath and the surrounding areas, including dyslexia screening, full diagnostic assessments and specialist tuition.
Dyslexia is a specific learning difficulty, which can affect spelling, reading and writing. It can also impact other areas such as concentration, organisation, time management or remembering verbal instructions. For many, these difficulties can become frustrating and overwhelming. However, amid the challenges, learners with dyslexia often demonstrate cognitive strengths such as remarkable visual-spatial processing, the ability to hold and recall narratives, expertise in problem solving and sharpened reasoning skills. Supporting individuals with dyslexia is important to help them overcome their reading and writing challenges whilst embracing their strengths and neurodiversity. Unlocking Dyslexia offers a holistic approach, focusing on developing literacy skills as well as building confidence and self-esteem.
